Meet the Northrups

We’re Lynn and Jessica Northrup and have over a decade of hiking and exploring southwestern Colorado and southern Utah. We have created hiking and adventure guides that you can access to help you plan your hikes.

We are centrally situated to adventure destinations in southwestern Colorado and the San Juan Mountains near Telluride and Ouray. Our Montrose location is a great base camp for hikes and adventures. Our Colorado explorations also include the Grand Mesa, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP, and Crested Butte.

Our adventures have taken us to Moab, all of southern Utah, and into parts of Arizona. You will enjoy our tips for visiting adventure sites, National Monuments, and National Parks. Experience majestic arches, slot canyons, and slick rock exploration, we offer lots of options for seeking adventure.

We have created Adventure Guides to help you plan your trips and adventures. These Guides cover southwestern Colorado and southern Utah and list our recommended hikes for those areas.

In addition to being active hikers, we are also photographers.  Our photography is featured though out the website, in our blog posts, and the photo gallery. We have also created videos of our hiking adventures to provide a greater sense of our experiences so please check out our YouTube channel and subscribe.

The knowledge  includes reviews of the gear we use on our hikes to capture images and video. We hope our our knowledge, experiences, and images will help others to enjoy their visits to these exciting southwest destinations.
